Diana Alsabe is an associate at the firm. Diana concentrates her practice in the investment management space, with a focus on all things private funds. She handles fund formation and structuring for both onshore and offshore funds, regulatory compliance, drafting fund documents, and helps advisors launch their funds to investors. She primarily works with venture capital funds, private equity funds, hedge funds, and real estate funds.

Diana also works on the mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring of private fund and investment management clients, as well as with the broader corporate group. Her work focuses on both the sale and acquisition of investment advisers, investment funds, and general corporate clients with a focus on limited liability companies and limited partnerships. Her goal in working with both corporate and investment management clients is to provide an informative, educational and practical approach to complex transactional and regulatory issues that helps achieve their end objective.

Prior to joining Rich May, Diana worked as in-house counsel at a commercial real estate company based out of Washington, DC, where she worked on forming entities and drafting their supporting operating documents, assisted in the sale of several divisions of the company, and worked with insurance counsel on litigation. She also previously worked as a law clerk with the Securities and Exchange Commission Division of Enforcement, where she collaborated with attorneys in drafting memoranda awarding whistleblowers whose contributions led to successful enforcement actions.

Diana received her Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, with a concentration in securities regulation. During her time in law school, she interned at the Securities and Exchange Commission, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and as a student attorney with the Low-Income Tax Clinic.
