Julie focuses her practice on sophisticated trust and estate planning, transfer and income tax planning, and estate administration.  Julie crafts estate plans tailored to individual and multi-generational client needs, including analysis of assets and holdings.  She especially enjoys working with blended families.  She works with outside financial advisors to create a seamless experience for her clients.   In addition to crafting estate plans, Julie has experience with prenuptial agreements, decanting, gift trusts, split interest trusts, ILITs and other irrevocable trusts.

Julie also has experience working in other proceedings in the Massachusetts Probate and Family Law Court, including divorces, adoptions, conservatorships, and guardianships. Experience in these areas enhance her skills in estate planning.

Prior to working in estate planning, Julie worked for over a decade as a corporate tax planning attorney at Dewey Ballantine LLP in New York City where she was named Counsel. Her practice focused on representing Fortune 100 equity investors in complex tax-driven domestic and international transactions.  Prior to law school, Julie worked for four years on Capitol Hill as a legislative aide to Congressman Dan Rostenkowski (D-IL), the Chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee.

Julie serves on the Professional Advisory Committee of the Brookline Community Foundation.  She lives in Brookline, MA with her husband, Clarke.  They have two children.  In her spare time, Julie enjoys gardening, cooking, and playing paddle tennis.
