Rich May is pleased to welcome Robert G. Schwartz, Jr. and David Wittmann to the Firm.
Robert concentrates on financial and commercial transactions, securities, and technology licensing. With a strong background in technology companies, Robert represents small- to medium-sized businesses from start up to eventual sale, providing advice on formation, financing, commercial agreements, intellectual property licensing and protection, corporate governance, dispute management, employment matters, stock plan administration, acquisitions, and exit strategies. He also has deep experience advising public companies in federal and state securities regulations, stock exchange requirements, financial controls and investor communications. Robert has served as the general counsel of several public and venture-backed software companies. He is a graduate of Amherst College (B.A. magna cum laude 1987) and Harvard Law School (J.D. cum laude 1991). He has spent several years studying and working in Germany and speaks German. Robert is admitted to the bar in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He lives with his wife and children in Boxford, Massachusetts.
David is a member of the Firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group. David’s practice focuses on general corporate law matters including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, entity selection and formation, business succession planning, corporate governance, and complex contract matters. David routinely represents clients in the manufacturing, health care, high technology and financial services industries. David is a graduate of Ohio University (B.B.A. cum laude 2001) and Suffolk University Law School (J.D. cum laude 2007), and has been admitted to the bar in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. David and his wife live in Melrose, Massachusetts.
