Scott A. Stokes

Scott A. Stokes, Counsel to the firm, concentrates on corporate, securities and financial matters as well as energy, telecommunications and regulatory matters. Mr. Stokes has been named among the top young lawyers in Massachusetts in Securities and Venture Finance for the last seven consecutive years as a member of the Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Stars. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin (J.D., cum laude, 1998) and Tufts University (B.A., 1994, History and German), and spent a year and a half studying in Germany through Tufts University and Georgetown University Law School. Mr. Stokes practices in a variety of general corporate law areas, including the organization, operation and financing of corporations and other business entities, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, the organization and operation of investment advisers and hedge funds and related regulatory and compliance matters, securities law and secured transactions. Mr. Stokes also practices in general energy, telecommunications and regulatory areas, including corporate and finance work for energy and telecommunication companies and electric, gas and water utility companies. He is admitted to the Bar in Massachusetts and Wisconsin, and is a member of the American, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, and Boston Bar Associations. Mr. Stokes lives in Holliston, Massachusetts with his wife Suzanne, and their two children.
