Rich May Client Astonfield Renewable Resources Limited Receives Government Approval for Solar Power Allocation
Rich May client Astonfield Renewable Resources Limited, through its
wholly-owned subsidiary Astonfield Solar (Gujarat) Private Limited
(“Astonfield”), has received approval from the government of Gujarat,
India to construct an initial 25 MW solar photovoltaic power plant in
Gujarat. This approval represents one of the largest allocations of
solar PV power generation to be awarded by the state of Gujarat. It
also marks the beginning of Astonfield’s broader $90M program to
construct 200 MW of solar PV power plants in the state of Gujarat. Once
fully commissioned in 2010, it will be the single largest solar PV
project in South Asia. The allocation underscores Astonfield’s
leadership in the sector and validates Astonfield’s world class project
development and execution capabilities.
