Rich May Client Astonfield Renewable Resources Limited (“Astonfield”)
has been awarded an Excellence Award by the Institute of Economic
Studies in India (“IES”) for its outstanding contribution in the
renewable energy sector in India. The government-sponsored agency also
awarded the Udyog Rattan Award to Sourabh Sen, Co-Chairman of
Astonfield, for his exemplary work in the field of Economic
Development. These awards were presented on October 8th during an IES
seminar on Economic Development, held at the India Habitat Center. Mr.
Korn Dabbaransi, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, inaugurated
the Seminar, which was attended by numerous dignitaries, officials and
prominent personalities from India’s business and political sectors.
“I am very pleased and humbled to receive this award from such a
well-respected entity,” said Mr. Sen. “The team at Astonfield and I
have worked tirelessly to make utility-scale renewable energy power
projects a reality in India, and though we still have a way to go, it
is nice to be reminded to look back and see how much progress has been
made.”
