Rich May’s Eric Krathwohl Delivers Opening Remarks at the 5th
Annual Northeast Energy and Commerce Association Renewable Energy
Conference, “Successful Renewable Energy Project Development in New
England.”
Eric J. Krathwohl, head of the Rich May’s Energy and Telecommunications
Group and member of the Northeast Energy and Commerce Association
(NECA) Board of Directors, delivered opening remarks at the 5th annual
NECA Renewable Energy Conference.
Attorney Krathwohl touched on a variety of issues to be discussed at
the Conference, including the way government legislation positively
affects renewable energy and the infrastructure development. Mr.
Krathwohl provided a brief outline of several recent developments
including the implementation of the Commonwealth Solar Program, the
first step in Massachusetts’ commitment to increase solar power, and
the U.S. House of Representatives passage of the Renewable Energy &
Energy Conservation Tax Act of 2008, which extends an energy tax credit
for solar and fuel cell property through 2016. He discussed a number of
recently issued project permits and described a range of efforts by
businesses to make their operations more sustainable. His full

Mr. Krathwohl has been a member of the NECA Board of Directors since
2006, during which time he was also appointed Co-Chair of the NECA
