Gerald
V. May, Jr., a member/shareholder of the firm concentrates on
corporate, commercial, financial, tax and estate planning matters. He
is a graduate of Tufts University (B.A.), Suffolk University Law School
(J.D.) and New York University Law School (LL.M in Taxation). His
complex and diverse practice embraces all aspects of the organization
and operation of corporations and other business ventures, mergers and
acquisitions, contracts, employee relations and compensation, finance,
lending, commercial and residential real estate, tax planning and
compliance, and estate planning. He represents corporations, investors,
and entrepreneurs in numerous industries including the software,
venture capital, medical, real estate and construction industries. He
is a former trial attorney in the Office of the Chief Counsel Internal
Revenue Service where he litigated civil tax cases on behalf of the
Internal Revenue Service in the United States Tax Court. Mr. May serves
as Secretary or Clerk to a number of private companies. He also serves
as Trustee to a number of Trusts with assets aggregating in excess of
$5 million. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and
holds the highest ranking by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory (AV –
Legal Ability Rating: Very High to Preeminent). Mr. May lives in
Needham, Massachusetts with his wife Kathy and their two children.
