Andrew ButlerAndrew Butler, of Counsel to Rich May, a Professional Corporation, assists the firm part-time on trust and estate matters. He is a cum laude graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he majored in Finance. After working on Wall Street, Andrew attended the Georgetown University Law Center where he received both his J.D., cum laude, and his L.L.M. in Taxation, with distinction. Andrew has over 12 years of experience advising individuals, couples, families and institutions in all aspects of estate planning, estate administration, business succession planning, trust administration, probate litigation and federal and state taxation. Drawing on his financial and tax background, Andrew’s practice focuses on working with clients and their other advisors to develop, implement and monitor plans which address estate, financial and retirement planning objectives and goals. Prior to founding his current firm, Andrew practiced in the Boston offices of Goodwin Procter LLP and Peabody & Arnold LLP. He also worked at the Boston Safe Deposit & Trust Company and the Tax Division of the United States Justice Department in Washington, D.C. Andrew has lectured on a variety of topics and co-authored “Drafting Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts” for the National Business Institute. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New York. While working part-time for Rich May, he remains a partner at Butler & Kriegel LLP in Wellesley, MA. The clients that Mr. Butler works with through Butler & Kriegel LLP shall remain clients of Butler & Kriegel LLP and that firm is independent of Rich May.
