Rich May’s Stephen M. Kane Elected President of the Columbia University Club of New England

Stephen M. Kane has been elected President of the Columbia University Club of New England. Mr. Kane has been a Director of the CUCNE since 2004 and has also been re-elected to the CUCNE Board of Directors.

The Columbia University Club of New England is one of the largest regional clubs for all alumni of Columbia University. CUCNE organizes several cultural events, faculty speakers, and sporting and social activities for alumni throughout the year. CUCNE also sponsors the Columbia Book Awards for promising students at over 50 highs schools in New England to promote the Columbia experience and works with Columbia’s Alumni Representative Committee to interview prospective students from the New England region. Funds raised from CUCNE’s activities and scholarship events have led to the establishment of an endowed CUCNE scholarship for New England students attending Columbia College and Columbia’s School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Stephen Kane is President, Chair of the Corporate and Securities Practice, a Managing Director and member/shareholder of Rich May. He concentrates on corporate, commercial, securities and financial matters. He is a graduate of Roxbury Latin School, Columbia College (B.A.) and Columbia University Law School (J.D.). Mr. Kane has been awarded the highest ranking by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory (AV – Legal Ability Rating: Very High to Preeminent). In 2005, 2006 and 2007, Stephen M. Kane was named a “Super Lawyer” by Boston Magazine. He was one of several Rich May attorneys selected by an independent blue ribbon committee as a Massachusetts “Super Lawyer.”
