Rich May Client and Technology Industry Consultant, Judith Hurwitz, Honored by the Mass Technology Leadership Council
Rich May Client and Technology industry analyst and consultant, Judith Hurwitz, president of Hurwitz & Associates, has been selected as a winner of the 2005 Mass Technology Leadership Council award. Winners are chosen based on their contributions to the development and deployment of technologies that address critical business issues.
Judith Hurwitz has been advising corporations in New England and across the globe for the past two decades. She is one of the first software industry analysts to provide thought leadership and strategy consulting in key emerging areas ranging from distributed computing and emerging technologies to systems and applications management, and service oriented architectures. Hurwitz has built her reputation by providing objective guidance to buyers and sellers of information technologies based on pragmatic customer benefits. Hurwitz clients have included companies of all sizes from global technology leaders such as IBM, HP, and Computer Associates to local technology start-ups. She serves on the advisory boards of numerous early stage technology companies.
The Mass Technology Leadership Awards recognize the best and brightest of the region’s business community. These awards are a continuation of an eight-year tradition, begun by the New England Business and Technology Association (NEBATA), of honoring the region’s technology and business leaders. The Mass Technology Leadership Council was formed by the combination of NEBATA and the Mass Software Council earlier this year.
“I am honored to receive this award and to be part of a group of accomplished colleagues that are helping to build the state’s influence throughout the technology marketplace,” said Hurwitz.
Hurwitz was also honored by Boston University’s College of Arts & Sciences, when it named her a distinguished alumnus earlier this year.
