Rich May Client & Marketing Visionary Larry Weber Launches W2 Group, Inc. A Global Marketing Services Company Addressing 21st Century Constituent Management Needs
Waltham, Mass. – Lawrence Weber, who has spent the past three decades building global powerhouse communications companies, including Weber Shandwick Worldwide, today announced the launch of his newest venture, W2 Group, Inc. (www.w2groupinc.com). The new marketing services company will be the platform to achieve his vision to leverage digital technology and data-driven communications practices to enable organizations to reach their target markets with a new level of precision and impact.
Mr. Weber is launching W2 Group after leaving Interpublic Group earlier this year. While at IPG, Mr. Weber built Weber Shandwick Worldwide into the largest PR agency in the world, with billings of $450 million at its peak, making it the cornerstone of 17 companies he built, acquired or managed in forming Advanced Marketing Services, a $2 billion marketing services group.
“While founding and building the largest PR firm in the world and leading the formation of Advanced Marketing Services at IPG, I’ve had the opportunity to evaluate and integrate new technologies into the communication process to bring organizations closer to their constituents,” said Mr. Weber. “W2 Group will redefine marketing services by creating an ecosystem of companies offering the most advanced digital research, delivery and measurement technologies to provide analytics and understanding of constituents and market trends and highly targeted message delivery. Clients are demanding the level of measurable, predictable results that traditional marketing services firms are not delivering.”
With a group of private investors W2Group will identify, build and acquire high impact marketing technology and services companies. W2 Group’s first two companies are Racepoint Group, Inc., which it is acquiring, and Digital Influence Group, Inc., which it is launching.
Walter Wright of Rich May, stated, “we have been with Larry Weber from the very beginning and are pleased and proud to advise and represent Larry and the W2 Group Companies as they revolutionize marketing services.”
