Mr. Krathwohl provided a brief outline of several recent developments including the implementation of the Commonwealth Solar Program, the first step in Massachusetts’ commitment to increase solar power, and the U.S. House of Representatives passage of the Renewable Energy & Energy Conservation Tax Act of 2008, which extends an energy tax credit for solar and fuel cell property through 2016. He discussed a number of recently issued project permits and described a range of efforts by businesses to make their operations more sustainable. His full presentation is available here.

Mr. Krathwohl has been a member of the NECA Board of Directors since 2006, during which time he was also appointed Co-Chair of the NECA Renewable Energy Committee. For more information about NECA’s Renewable Energy Conference visit http://www.necanews.org/dev/index.php?go=documents
